The long-awaited music video for Nicki Minaj’s single ‘Fly’ featuring Rihanna, has finally landed. The video is set on a dramatic plane crash scene where Nicki exhibits her many eccentric outfits, alongside her bestie Ri-Ri. So here’s the thing…I do understand the concept of the video, emphasising the view that the ladies can face any tragic situation, yet still maintain their image and have fight left in them, but I just wasn’t as impressed as I expected to be considering the time it took for the videos official release – plus the amount of millions that was most likely spent on it!
The song is so great in my opinion and was one of the tracks on the rapper’s album ‘Pink Friday’ where the repeat button was constantly in motion, but my view of the visual just doesn’t seem to reflect how amazing the song really is. So as you can imagine, this is not a video I would choose to play more than once, but I’ll of course continue to totally adore the track nonetheless! 🙂
David Guetta teams up with rappers Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj for his latest dance anthem ‘Where Them Girs At’; the first single taken from his forthcoming album ‘Nothing But The Beat’. I know this kind of tune is more Flo Rida’s style, but I weren’t too sure about Nicki; however after watching the video and listening to the track like a hundred times it has somehow changed my opinion, and now I believe that it does all sorta work 🙂
The French DJ proves that he can even make a whole city get down to his infectious dance number, with giant bubbles filled with rhythmic gas floating among the people of LA, causing them to burst out in dance – yep the creativity in the video is clearly suitable for an equally bubbly tune 🙂 I must admit this song isn’t one of my favourites from the producer, but whatever the track I believe that he will forever keep his listeners on their feet!

The music video for my personal favourite track off Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday’ album – ‘Super Bass’ – is finally released! Well I’m not sure if it is exactly what I expected, but it certainly hasn’t taken away an inch of my devotion to the track thankfully. It’s undeniably cute, fun, playful, and the teasing nature of the video is well suited to the lyrics.
The visual is definitely booming with vibrancy as the Young Money rapper illuminates the video with her signature multicoloured hairdos, two-tone eyeliner and vivid outfits, along with other eye-grabbing features and all things bubblegum-like.

Are you feeling the bass?
In a recent radio interview, Taylor Swift recites a few lines from Nicki Minaj’s track ‘Super Bass’, taken from her album ‘Pink Friday’. This is my top favourite song off the album as well so I totally had to hear this one, and I must say, that was such an adorable 5 seconds! Her shyness along with the cute hand movements was so endearing, I sort of wanted her to rap the whole verse. Taylor frequently openly admits that she knows every single lyric of this album cut and raps along to it while she’s in her car – I can actually imagine this! (plus, it’s kind of what I do too…) Hmmmm so could “T-Swizzle” go from a Country star to a Rap artist? …I say NO! But it was most definitely the cutest effort 🙂 Watch below…
Once upon a time there lived a ‘KING’ (???) named Nicki, who filmed a Cinderella-inspired video for her single ‘Moment 4 Life’, which is taken from her Platinum selling debut album ‘Pink Friday’. So Nicki Minaj refers to herself as a ‘king’…OK then… there’s definitely a meaning behind that one. I think this video is brilliant however I did find the acting at the beginning quite cringing, especially when she attempted the English accent. I felt more at ease when the track finally started playing though and the music video officially begun…
The video features Nicki and her beloved Drizzy tying the knot, a moment that she wishes to hold on to forever as she marries her ‘Prince’. This ‘moment’ is like every young girl’s dream, wishing their own lives to be a reflection of a fairytale love story. The gripping visuals and marital bliss between the two Young Money rappers collate this awesome and romantic video – I love 🙂
Will.I.Am teaming up with Nicki Minaj is a perfect collab in my opinion – they’re both equally creative and unique, and it could be said that Nicki’s ‘Barbie’ image is a perfect fit with this funky electro-pop track. Sampling The Buggles vocals “oh oh” and the synth chords and keyboard riff from “Video Killed the Radio Star” contributes to the bubbly track creating a cheerful melody. Lyrically the track is uncomplicated and not serious, and seems to be purely for fun and entertainment with random lyrics like “I Can’t Believe It, This So Amazing……I Can’t Believe It, This Beat Is Banging…”.
The duo is simply brushing off all their haters. With the Japanese and futuristic theme, and eccentric outfits some would think they’re just laughing in their faces as they’re not taking the haters, or even themselves seriously – they don’t mind looking wacky, or acting silly as despite this they’re still making money and dominating the music scene! This funky party track is totally draped in auto-tune but the robotic vocals works well with the theme of the video, which is full of fun and cheese, and total originality, which Will and Nicki clearly deliver effectively well.
So if you haven’t seen the vid yet…then Check It Out! 😀
