Following his promotional appearance on yesterday’s ‘Good Morning America ’, Chris Brown releases his latest music video for his single ‘Beautiful People’ ft. Benny Benassi, which is lifted from his ‘F.A.M.E.’ album. The natural and down to earth video completely associates itself to the lyrics of the track, with clips of Breezy and others casually living their day to day lives, having fun times in the studio and merely enjoying and treasuring life – an effortless video which I found far more entertaining than other videos which involved a lot more effort and a higher budget – that’s what makes this video so great!
The visual compliments the club/house anthem portraying the exact message of this track; it’s all about positive thinking, living, and especially for him…forgetting the PAST! CB is a beautiful person in his fan’s eyes…if you agree and wish to support then cop F.A.M.E and check out the awesome vid below with features from Bow Wow, Brandy, Estelle, Nelly, Omarion, Teyana Taylor, The Game, Timbaland, and Tyga. 🙂
Chris Brown performed ‘Yeah 3X’ on ‘Good Morning America’ yesterday, his hit single taken from his recently released fourth album ‘F.A.M.E.’.
Now I am not a big fan of auto-tuned vocals throughout an entire track, but honestly, I totally overlooked the singing and merely focused on his dance routine, that crazy energy and commanding moves was the only thing capturing my vision. I am massively pleased to see that he is getting back on track in terms of his reputation and his musical status, and that his album is already receiving enormous support. Despite his outburst after the show regarding being grilled about the Rihanna incident (an outburst quite understandable really!), I’m glad that he remained composed while being interviewed and ensured that the main focus of his interview was…….the ALBUM. ↓
I long for him to be able to re-visit the UK and grace his British fans with his presence. Check out the HOT performance below if you haven’t already seen!
For all those who didn’t know, I love me some fresh new quality talent! So here I am introducing you all to an amazing new singer, songwriter and dancer who goes by the name of Rickell Brown, a.k.a. Rickstar…
Having been particularly exposed to the sounds of the legendary Detroit label ‘Motown’ in his younger years, the 21 year old’s major influences derive from this classic genre as he is musically inspired by such artists including Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Diana Ross and The Supremes, and many other significant Motown artists. The singer who describes his sound as “Motown/Pop” also says “I’m a big fan of new school artists like Brandy, Outkast, Ceelo Green, Adele and Jonell Monae… And like most of them I feel a connection to the music that people were making in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s“.
Rickstar’s music surely reflects the excellence and of course the ‘supreme’ sound that inspires his material, which is clearly apparent in his funky, yet melodious and soulful single ‘Beat Of My Heart’ that you can take a listen to below, which follows his previous equally brilliant tracks including ‘Fantasy Girl’ and ‘Lead The Way’.
Rickstar – ‘Beat Of My Heart’
If you would love to learn more about the incredibly gifted new artist to hit the music scene then check out a continuation of his bio below, along with strikingly handsome shots of himself and a video of one of his recent performances!
“Being of Jamaican, Panamanian heritage and growing up in America and London, singer, song writer and dancer, ‘Rickell Brown a.k.a Rickstar; has had the opportunity to experience the fusion of many culture’s, which will surely shine through his music. Brown comes from a talented family his mother, father, and godmother all being singers. He is also related to reggae recording artists Leroy Sibles and Mr Vegas. His musical influence comes from the likes of Janelle Monae, Outkast, Brandy, Musiq Soulchild, The Temptations, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Martha And The Vandellas and many more. “I like to describe my sound as Motown/Pop”.”
“Its the year 1964, Entertainer Rickstar aged 21 lives in the city of flash town an island where the atmosphere is made up of black and white, until one day the soul star breathes “vocal fire” out of his mouth, setting the whole island on fire. From that day the city would no longer be colourless. The colour was so powerful that it wrapped him up in a time travelling hurricane, he landed into the city of London in the year 2011, being a total stranger in this city, Rickstar tries to lay low yet becomes the highlight of this new scenery, the colour of his voice and image constantly keep him on front line, the saga continues………”

…well it is nice to see that this young girl is still being taken seriously with this ingenious music video for her new single ‘21st Century Girl’.
Willow Smith creates her own 21st century setting – similar to her previous video for ‘Whip My Hair’ it involves the singer bringing life, colour, fun and excitement to the scene. Willow has that ability to show attitude and fierceness, while still managing to stay adorable and show that she is still a 10 year old girl who wishes to continue to enjoy her childhood and have fun!
The youngster’s sparkling charisma is so endearing in this video, as she entertains us with her fantastic fiery energy. Her outfits are very ‘out there’ but she knows exactly how to work with it and make it look stylish and fashionable. She is so intriguing to watch – a smashing lil’ entertainer – and she has totally proved that she has truly earned her place in this ‘21st century’ music scene 🙂
Jennifer Lopez releases her new video for her single ‘On The Floor’, which is taken from her seventh studio album ‘Love?’ and is set to be released April 19th.
The song itself which features Pitbull is pretty trash – the generic party lyrics are quite cringy, and the whole track just lacks any kind of imagination or originality – so really, considering my description of this number it could be said that Pitbull and this track are such a perfect match! Although J.Lo’s vocal ability level is still as low as ever, she hasn’t failed to make the most of a substandard track as she glistens in her music video and entertains us with her enormous energy, and of course her sizzling image and exotic flair.
I really appreciate that the choreography doesn’t seem forced – it looks as if it comes naturally to the ‘American Idol’ judge and she is genuinely enjoying herself, which creates this very engaging video. The way she owns the floor shows us that she still has that passion for what she does, and causes us to forget that fact that she is surprisingly 41 years old! She’s still got IT, so watch her flaunt it ‘on the floor’ >>>
Kelly Rowland partners up with Lil Wayne on her Jim Jonsin -produced single ‘Motivation’, which was penned by Rico Love and is taken from her third solo album. Weezy doesn’t need much motivation to be ‘down and dirty’, I’m sure it comes naturally to the sex-driven rapper but there’s no harm in a few words of encouragement as the former DC member sings over a synth-lead beat, “Go Longer, You Can Last More Rounds/ Much Harder, You’re Almost There Now/ So Go Lover, Make Mama Proud” – seductive lyrics slickly delivered by Ms. Kelly.
The song won’t be as impacting as a single release, but I do like how it demonstrates the singer’s excellent vocal range and power which wasn’t always so evident in her ‘Destiny’s Child’ days – she has really proved herself as a successful solo artist and if she continues to release hits like ‘When Love Takes Over’ and ‘Commander’, she’ll continue to please the mainstream audience which is always important, in terms of dominating the charts. Though ‘Motivation’ is still an addictive track in my opinion! Take a listen below… 🙂
