T-Pain Makes Love to a ‘Rap Song’

Just when you think he can’t come back with nothing bigger and better, T-Pain hits back with another potential hit which is most definitely one for the clubs! (as always) But this mid-tempo tune entitled ‘Rap Song’ which is taken from his next album ‘RevolveR’ isn’t necessarily a rap song as such, but is surely an addictive, feel-good one that our very own Teddy Pain never fails to deliver. In terms of the song title, it was only right and logical to have a rapper jump on it surely, so this is where Rick Ross came in and appropriately took over.

It’s hardly new for an artist to sing about getting down in the bedroom (or wherever), but T-pain twists things a little; we’ve always imagined slow jams to be the most appropriate background music for making love, but according to the auto-tune innovator rap is the next big thing to arouse sexual sensations…… In this laid-back party joint T-Pain cleverly incorporates lyrics from much loved rap songs which adds a comical edge to the track, and makes it fun to listen to and a joy to get down to! The creative hit-maker is known for his originality and his easygoing ‘two-step’ numbers, along with his epic chorus’, and this is one that will certainly be stuck on everyone’s lips for sure!

Jawan Harris and Willow Smith – Could Young Talent be Taking Over the World!?

I’m not really gonna write a review… I just needed to feature these artists purely because it’s shocking how talented these kiddos are! Firstly, Jawan Harris who is only 12 years old, has mad talent in my opinion. Initially I wanted to write something about his song ‘Nobody’ which actually shows off his incredible voice much more (check it out if you ain’t heard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8rIQXKTeOU&feature=related) , but then I came across the track ‘Another Planet’ featuring Chris Brown of whom I’m a massive supporter of, and thought damn I am TOTALLY feeling this tune it’s on fyah! So decided to feature this one instead 😀  I’m definitely liking the diversion from the standard R’n’B and hearing them rap is quite refreshing. I predict this track’s gonna blow up and everyone be saying “I Be Up In Mars, I Be Up In Mars, I Be So Fly, I-i-i Can Touch The Stars, I Be Up In Mars, I Be Up In Mars, When You See That SpaceShip, Yup Thats My Car” …you singing it yet? You WILL be once you’ve heard it for sure!

I’m guessing Chris Breezy took this little man under his wing awww how sweet. This boy’s gonna go far; I can see a bright, exciting, and money-making future ahead of him 🙂 …

As for Willow Smith (daughter of Will and Jada Smith if you didn’t know), I actually can not come to terms with the fact that this raw-talented young girl is only 9 years old. I can’t help but think her new song ‘Whip My Hair’ seems way too old for her – like I can hear someone like Keri Hilson dropping this track for her next single with Nicki Minaj on the hook. Or maybe you could think of another line-up? But lets face it the girl has a gift that not many girls her age have. Looking beyond the age thing, I most definitely think that this is one fiery track that will tear the roofs off houses, sheds, cars, and whatever else! Be ready to be amazed 🙂 …

Alexandra Burke – ‘Start Without You’ Music Video (or workout video?)

Since winning the X Factor, her soulful voice behind the soft ballads that more or less won her the show seemed to have been swept under the carpet, as recently she’s just been knocking out them fun and vivacious epic tracks which lets face it, she pulls off exceptionally well!  Well she’s back with another danceable number ‘Start Without You’ with a touch of reggae flavour and a hint of Caribbean spice…shame about the video though 😦 .The work-out session is just a bit too cringy and unnecessary. While Alex is “drip-dropping way down low”, the guys are lifting weights and doing handstands; while she’s singing about getting on the dance floor they’re all up in the gym…??? That just doesn’t make any sense to me, but other than them random scenes I think the video’s great! However I watched the making of the video which I was totally feeling but it is completely different to the official vid. Why? I feel so cheated. (Check it out below)

Anyway putting the video aside and merely focusing on the track itself, at first I thought this one was going to annoy the crap out of me, but it is so catchy and irritatingly addictive…whether you like it or not, no matter how hard you try to shake it off, it’s likely to stick with you like the grudge. I sense that this one is going to be another chart-topper 😀 …

…And here’s the making of the video…not associated with the one above, obviously…

X Factor’s Cher – ‘Turn My Swag On’…Definitely one of my favourite auditions yet !!

This girl surely got people talking with this one boy – I truly believe she has huge potential to go far in this competition…
